“A mighty flame follows a tiny spark” or so it is said. So follows, that from small ideas big things can happen. This is where we now find ourselves not even one full month from launching The Sons of Fire Global Chilli Club. The reaction has been overwhelmingly positive with members joining from all over the world, as I type this we have founding members from five continents and a dozen or more countries. With the hard part behind us we looked immediately to keeping the fire lit and so we arrived a lot quicker than expected at our first Table Meeting. Our Table is comprised of Founders and Original members, we plan to rotate Original Members on a monthly basis to enable varying outlooks and views and to ensure that all members have an equal voice and vote.
For almost 48 hours, 11 of our Senior members from all over the world set aside our weekend time to make sure that all Club Business was handled as quickly and effortlessly as possible. Much was discussed in terms of the clubs direction and vision for the future.
One of our Group tenets is supporting the Chilli Community, and with that in mind the Table drew up a list of causes that are dear to members hearts. The list was pretty long and will definitely be kept for further reference and donations. Ultimately the Club’s decision was one that was voted for unanimously and received such astonishing positive feedback that we all knew at once, we were a part of something special.
Honorary Member
During the course of our Table Meeting, it was suggested that Sons of Fire could make a contribution to the family of Aaron Vaughn, Kapsaicin Kid. The reaction was instant and astoundingly positive. All members voted unanimously and only after that, was it mentioned that The President had already presented Aaron with his Vest as an Honorary Lifetime Member several weeks prior. So it was with great enthusiasm we voted one last order of business for our First Table meeting.
Our Contribution
Sons of Fire has today donated $1,000 to the family of Aaron Vaughn (Kapsaicin Kid) to help in whatever way we can with their expenses. We hope that our contribution can raise a spark that lights the fire once again and trust we will see Aaron back in full spirits again soon.
