The Sons of Fire Global Chilli Club is built on a foundation of respect, brotherhood, and camaraderie. Our mission is to lead by example, to encourage and support each other in all aspects of life, and to share our passion for the life of spice with others. We welcome adults of all ages, backgrounds, and genders who share our commitment to brotherhood and our love for all things spicy.

At the Sons of Fire GCC, we believe that everyone has something unique to bring to the club. Whether it’s advice on growing, challenges, mental health, or life in general, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where members can freely express themselves and share their knowledge and experiences.

Our goal is to build a strong and supportive community where everyone feels valued and respected.

We are presently engaged in supporting several Non-Profit Organizations through diverse activities, with the ultimate objective of establishing ourselves as the pioneering Non-Profit Club in the Chilli Community. The Sons of Fire GCC is committed to transparency and accountability in all of our activities. Any donations, sponsorships, or gifts will be handled by the Regional Chapters Officers Table with the utmost care and diligence.

To become a member of the Sons of Fire GCC, you are expected to adhere to our Club’s Bylaws. We value mutual respect and expect all members to treat each other with dignity and respect. Discrimination, harassment, bullying or any other form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

In the Sons of Fire GCC, we take pride in our commitment to brotherhood, loyalty, and respect. We encourage all members to work together, learn from each other, and support one another in all aspects of life.

Together, we can create a community where the love of spice brings us together in a bond of friendship and brotherhood.

Sons of Fire Bylaws Amended 03/2023

Section 1. Adoption and Amendment of Bylaws

1.1 As of September 4th, 2020, the Sons of Fire Global Chilli Club (the “Club”) has adopted these Bylaws to form the basis and structure of the Club.

 

1.2 The Sons of Fire Bylaws were amended on March 10th, 2023, and supersede any prior versions of the Bylaws.

 

Section 2. Club Identity and Affiliations

2.1 The Club is a Global Chilli Club, and is not a Motorcycle Club (“MC”) or affiliated with any MC or other organisation.

 

2.2 The Club recognizes no authority in the Chilli Community above it, and holds no association or affiliation with any other club or organisation sharing its name.

 

2.3 The purpose of these Bylaws is to preserve and protect the founding themes and character of the Club for its members, and to promote the ideas that the Club was founded on.

 

2.4 The Club is a not-for-profit members club, and is a separate entity from the Sons of Fire business/brand, which is owned and operated by Apex Koncept.

 

Section 3. Decision-Making

3.1 In the event of any issue arising that is not covered by these Bylaws, a decision will be made by the President’s Table, which is comprised of the Founders, Global Presidents or a representative from each chapter.

 

3.2 The President or a Representative of each chapter must be present for this meeting.

 

Section 4. Intellectual Property

4.1 “Sons of Fire”, “Born to Burn”, “Firestarter”, “GCC”, and all associated artwork, fonts, images, and designs are owned exclusively by Apex Koncept.

 

4.2 No merchandise or branding should be replicated or applied to any merchandise or branding without the unanimous consent of the President’s Table including all Representaives of Apex Koncept.

Section 1. Chapter Officers

3.1 The President shall preside over all meetings of the chapter and shall be responsible for overseeing the affairs of the chapter. The President shall serve as the primary liaison between the chapter and the other Presidents.

 

3.2 The Vice President shall assume the duties of the President in the absence of the President and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President.

 

3.3 The Sergeant at Arms shall be responsible for maintaining order during meetings and events, and shall be responsible for the safekeeping of the club’s property.

 

3.4 The Master of Ceremonies shall be responsible for organizing and conducting club events and activities, and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President.

 

3.5 The Club Secretary shall be responsible for keeping accurate records of all meetings and events, and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President.

 

3.6 Additional officer ranks may be assigned by the chapter as deemed necessary.

 

Section 2. Membership Requirements

3.2.1 Each chapter must maintain a minimum of six fully patched members at all times. The minimum membership requirement includes all officers and general members of the chapter.

 

3.2.2 Failure to maintain the minimum membership requirement will result in the chapter’s status as an independent chapter being revoked. All remaining members will still remain active as Sons GCC members.

5.1 Membership in the Sons of Fire Global Chilli Club is open to any individual who shares the Club’s values and mission, as determined by the President and Officers of each Chapter.

 

5.2 Membership fees for Sons of Fire are due annually on the first Monday of September. Renewal fees will also be due at this time.

 

5.3 The amount of membership fees for the following year will be decided by the Chapter Table. Any changes to the membership fees must be approved by a majority vote of the Officers of that Chapter.

 

5.4 Membership fees are non-refundable, and failure to pay fees may result in the revocation of membership.

 

5.5 Membership fees have been waived for Sons of Fire year 2021/2022, but may be reinstated in subsequent years as determined by the Chapter Table and President’s Table.

 

5.6 Members are expected to uphold the values and principles of Sons of Fire, both in their interactions with other members and in their representation of the Club to the wider community. Any member who fails to comply with the Bylaws or causes harm to the reputation of the Club may be subject to disciplinary action, as determined by the President and Officers of their Chapter.

7.1 Respect: All members must respect each other at ALL TIMES. The foundation of our club is built on respect and we will continue to build this club with respect. Any members who have an issue with each other please resolve this away from the club. NO DRAMA WILL BE TOLERATED. In addition to respecting each other, members must also show respect to other clubs, groups, and individuals, and should not engage in any behavior that would bring disrespect or dishonor to the club.

 

7.2 Patch Approval: It is prohibited to attach any other patch or patches to the club vest without prior approval from The Table. Members should understand that their patches are the property of the club and should be worn with pride and respect. Unauthorized patches or alterations to the club’s official patch layout could lead to disciplinary action.

 

7.3 Representing the Club: Any member wearing the club patches should act respectfully at all times, both in public and private. Members represent the club and its reputation, and should be aware of this responsibility at all times.

 

7.4 Disciplinary Action: Any member deemed to be acting in a manner not in accordance with the club’s philosophy or rules may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the club. This could include actions such as suspension, demotion, or expulsion from the club, and the return of the club patches. Examples of behaviour that could result in disciplinary action include violence, theft, dishonesty, drug or alcohol abuse, or behavior that is deemed disrespectful to the club or its members.

 

7.5 Public Events: Members should try to attend meetings and events whenever possible, as this is an important way to build camaraderie and support for the club. Attendance at events should be viewed as a priority, and members should make every effort to attend and participate in these events.

 

7.6 Confidentiality: Members should understand that club business is confidential and should not be shared with non-members or the public. This includes information about other members, club meetings, and events.

 

7.7 Alcohol and Drugs: The use of illegal drugs and excessive alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited at public events or while representing the club. Any member found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at events may face disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the club.

 

7.8 Dues and Fees: Members should pay their dues and fees on time, as outlined in the club’s bylaws. Failure to pay dues or fees could result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the club.

 

7.9 Community Relations: Members should interact respectfully with other members of the chilli community  and should not engage in any behaviour that would bring dishonor to the club or create tension online or offline.

 

7.10 Disciplinary Process: Any disciplinary action taken against a member will follow a process of investigation, review, and decision by The Table. Members will have the opportunity to respond to any charges or allegations made against them, and will have the right to a fair and impartial hearing.

9.1 All members of Sons of Fire acknowledge and accept that they are solely responsible for their own actions and decisions while representing the club or engaging in club activities.

 

9.2 Members are responsible for their own safety and should exercise caution and common sense while participating in club activities or events.

 

9.3 Sons of Fire/Apex Koncept strongly advises members to obtain their own insurance coverage, including personal injury and property damage insurance, to protect themselves and their assets against injury or accident/theft.

 

9.4 Members agree to hold Sons of Fire/Apex Koncept harmless and waive any claims against the club or its officers, members, or affiliates for any injury, damage, loss, or harm that may occur during their participation in club activities or events.

 

9.5 Any member who causes injury or damage to another person or property while representing the club or engaging in club activities may be held personally liable for their actions and may face disciplinary action or expulsion from the club.

 

9.6 Members who fail to comply with this bylaw or violate any laws or regulations may be held liable for any resulting damages, and may also face disciplinary action or expulsion from the club.

 

11.1 Any member who disrupts a public event or behaves inappropriately may face disciplinary action.

 

11.2 All members should notify their Officers of their intnetion to attend a public event and represent The Club. Dates and times should be submitted before attendance.

 

11.3 All members shall conduct themselves respectfully and responsibly at Public Events and shall not engage in any activities that could harm the Club’s reputation.

 

11.4 Members are responsible for their own actions at Public Events and shall not hold the Club or its members responsible for any injuries or damages they may incur.

 

11.5 The Club reserves the right to refuse a member to represent The Club at any Public event without explanation.

 

2.1 All financial decisions for the Club, including donations, gifts, and investments, will be handled by Sons of Fire Presidents and their Officers.

 

2.2 Before making any financial decisions, the Sons of Fire Presidents and Officers must share and discuss their proposals with all senior members of their respective chapters.

 

Section 2. Financial Records

2.2.1 The Sons of Fire Chapters will keep accurate and complete financial records, which may be reviewed by the Sons of Fire Presidents and Officers.

 

2.2.2 Any member of the Club may request to review their Chapter’s financial records upon reasonable notice to the Sons of Fire Presidents and Officers.

 

2.2.3 The Sons of Fire Chapters will make their financial records available for review by an external auditor, if such records are available.

 

Section 3. Use of Club Funds

2.3.1 Club funds will be used solely for the benefit of the Club and its members.

 

2.3.2 Club funds may not be used for personal gain or benefit.

 

2.3.3 The Sons of Fire Presidents and Officers may establish policies for the appropriate use of Club funds, subject to the approval of the senior members of their respective chapters.

 

4.1. All Officers will carry an equal vote on any matter presented to their Chapter’s Table.

 

4.2. President

4.2.1. The President shall be considered the Head of their Chapter and responsible for oversight of Charter and Chapter Business.

 

4.2.2. The President will be responsible for sitting on The President’s Table with Global Presidents and Founders.

 

4.2.3. It is the President’s responsibility to ensure that all members are representing The Club in a positive light at all times.

 

4.2.4. The President should present to his/her Officers any decisions made by the President’s Table and agree to always work with the Sons of Fire Global Club’s interest in mind.

 

4.3. Vice President

4.3.1. The Vice President will support the President in all Club matters and will act as a primary contact for all members and Club Business.

 

4.3.2. The Vice President will act as President in the absence of the President and assume all roles and duties outlined in Article 4.2.

 

4.3.3. The Vice President shall be responsible for communicating any/all directives, votes, decisions, etc. to Chapter Members.

 

4.4. Master of Ceremonies/Herald

4.4.1. The Master of Ceremonies will be responsible for representing the club in all matters involving events, activities, challenges, etc. online.

 

4.4.2. The Master of Ceremonies will organize and host online events and challenges as his/her time allows.

 

4.4.3. The Master of Ceremonies shall be the official source of Club News, Updates, and Events.

 

4.5. Sergeant at Arms

4.5.1. The Sergeant at Arms will be responsible for all disciplinary matters within their Chapter.

 

4.5.2. The Sergeant at Arms will, at the President’s request, issue warnings, fines or refer serious disciplinary concerns to their Chapter’s President.

 

4.6. Club Secretary

4.6.1. The Club’s Secretary will be responsible for Club welcome and birthday cards, club minutes and updates, gift sending, etc.

 

4.6.2. The Club Secretary will work with their Officers to keep accurate records of incomes and expenditures.

 

4.7. Members

4.7.1. Members, both Fully Patched and Firestarters, must be aware that they are representing Sons of Fire at all times.

 

4.7.2. Members should act accordingly and maintain a positive disposition when engaging with other members and non-members.

 

4.7.3. The image of Sons of Fire as a positive Club must be maintained at all times. This includes interactions online via social media and during live events.

 

6.1 All members of the Sons of Fire must purchase an approved vest from an approved vendor supplied by their Chapter. This ensures that all members have a standardized uniform for the club.

 

6.2 Members must follow the guidelines that are in place for the placement of patches and other decorations on their vests. These guidelines are meant to maintain the integrity of the club’s image and branding.

 

6.3 The “Sons of Fire” Top Rocker patch must be placed on the rear of the vest, across the shoulders.

 

6.4 The “Born to Burn” or “Firestarter” Bottom Rocker patch must be placed on the rear of the vest, above the waist.

 

6.5 The Sons of Fire “Reaper” patch must be placed on the rear of the vest and spaced evenly between the Top and Bottom Rocker patches.

 

6.6 The “GCC” patch must be placed on the rear of the vest directly above the right-hand side of the Bottom Rocker patch.

 

6.7 Front Four patches must be placed on the front of the vest, centered and double-stacked (without spacing) above the Breast Pockets.

 

6.8 The Sons of Fire  patches are rented to all officers and senior members. However patches remain the property of the Sons of Fire at all times.

 

6.9 If an officer or member leaves the club, it is their responsibility to return their  patches to a member of their Chapter’s Table.

 

6.10 Any  member who refuses to return the club property may face legal action. This is to ensure that all club property is returned and not misused.

 

6.11 The Sons of Fire Reaper patch is the property of Apex Koncept and is used for the Sons of Fire club and brand with permission. Any member who wishes to use this image must seek the President’s Table’s approval first. This ensures that the club’s branding is consistent and not misused.

 

8.1 The Bylaws of our club may be amended from time to time in order to reflect the changing needs and circumstances of the club. Any amendment to the Bylaws shall be approved by The President’s Table, with a majority of the table members required for the passing of the proposed amendment(s).

 

8.2 Once an amendment has been approved, it shall become binding immediately following its ratification. All members of the club shall be notified of any changes made to the Bylaws and shall be expected to adhere to the new provisions.

 

8.3 In order to ensure that all members are aware of the changes made to the Bylaws, it is the responsibility of the Secretary to communicate these changes to all members via email, in-person meetings, or through the club’s website or social media channels.

 

8.4 It is also important to note that any changes made to the Bylaws shall be in compliance with any relevant laws or regulations. Any changes deemed to be in violation of applicable laws or regulations shall not be approved by The President’s Table.

 

8.5 It is the responsibility of each member to regularly review the Bylaws to ensure that they are up-to-date with any changes. Any member found to be in violation of the Bylaws, including any changes made to them, may face disciplinary action, up to and including termination of membership

10.1 The Chapter Treasurer shall maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and present a report at each Chapter Meeting.

 

10.2 Club funds shall be used solely for club-related expenses such as club events, merchandise, and other related expenses.

 

10.3 No member is authorized to use club funds for personal expenses.

 

10.4 Any expenditure exceeding a pre-determined amount must be approved by The President’s Table.

 

10.5 Any member found to be misusing club funds shall face disciplinary action and may be asked to leave the club.
